This drug is a new second generation angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor, which is a powerful and durable vasodilator. The drug is similar to enalapril, which is a non-sulfhydryl precursor drug. In vivo, the diacid compound ramipril was produced by liver deesterification. The pharmacological effect was stronger and longer than captopril, with fewer adverse reactions. The serum peak value was reached at (0.7±0.4)h after 10mg of ramipril. Bioavailability was 60%. In vivo metabolites include diketoylpiperazine of ramipril and a small amount of uronic acid conjugate. The peak time of ramipril is (2.1±0.9)h, the duration of action is more than 24h, and the action time is prolonged in patients with renal dysfunction. Regular medical monitoring is required for treatment with this drug. Dehydration, hypovolemia (low blood volume), and salt deficiency should usually be corrected at the beginning of treatment (in patients with heart failure, the risk of volume overload must be carefully weighed).
